Every tool in Sfuma

Sfuma is a free portrait editor for iPhone by NameVerse, Inc., with four tabs: Slimming, Touch Up, Looks and Edit. Each one previews live, and nothing is kept until you press Apply. Hold the photo to see the original at any time.

The four Sfuma tabs: Slimming, Touch Up, Looks, Edit

Touch Up

One feature at a time, with its own sliders and one Apply. Every tool here is locked to the face it belongs to, so a group photo keeps each person’s own edits.

Smooth: Soften and Even tone

Soften works on texture, not color. Blotches go, pores and fine lines stay even at full strength. Even tone levels out patchy brightness inside the face. Eyes, brows, lips, hairline and the skin beside the jaw stay sharp.

Proof: the tone-lock test fails if smoothing shifts color balance or brightness past its limits. The numbers.

Heal: Automatic or Manual

Automatic finds pimples and dark spots on its own; the slider decides how many it clears, and it keeps its distance from the eyes at any head angle. Manual gives you an adjustable brush that rebuilds a spot from the skin around it.

Proof: Touch Up → Heal shows both modes, and Automatic says “No spots found” instead of guessing.

Under-eye circles

Dark circles soften toward your own cheek color, and fine lines fade with the slider. The band follows a tilted head, so both sides get the same lift.

Eye brighten

A little more clarity and light in the eyes themselves. Lids and lashes are untouched.

Teeth whitening

Takes the yellow out and lifts brightness inside the mouth only. It stays matte, not porcelain.

When detection is unsure, tools step back

Face detection can miss, especially on small faces at the back of a group. When it hands back unusable eye, mouth or outline positions, Sfuma still protects eyes and lips during smoothing, keeps whitening and brightening where they belong, and lets reshaping do nothing rather than land in the wrong place.

Proof: try a face that is small, blurred or turned away. Nose and Chin then leave the face as it was instead of bending the wrong spot.

Looks

Fifty free looks in six families, plus 28 more with the unlock. Every tile is a thumbnail of your own photo, so you choose a look on you, not on a model. Tap to preview, set Intensity, Apply.

Proof: a test runs every look in the library over near-white and pure white and fails if the highlights collapse, so a white sky stays white.

Your own looks

With the unlock, Share look turns your current edit into a code you can copy or send as a link, and Keep in Mine puts it first in the Looks grid. Anyone can paste a code for free.

Edit

Light and color

Brightness, Contrast, Warmth, Saturation, Fade. Sliders fill from their default, so you can see at a glance how far you have moved.

Crop

A frame with corner and edge handles, five ratios (Original, 1:1, 4:5, 9:16, 16:9) and Straighten up to 15° either way.

Slimming

Seven options: Nose, Butt, Legs, Arms, Stomach, Waist and Chin. Nose and Chin are sliders anchored to the face’s own landmarks, and the background behind the head never bends. For the body, pick an option and tap the photo where you want the change, with Size and Strength sliders. There is no automatic body mode: you decide where every edit goes.

Proof: body edits, Chin included, are left out of shareable recipes on purpose; a look is a style, a body edit is personal. Nose travels with a look because it is stored with the face settings.

Camera

Take a photo inside Sfuma with Retouch on and a free look already applied, then continue in the editor. Camera access is used for taking the photo and nothing else; nothing is uploaded.

Does Sfuma add a watermark?

No. The export is re-rendered at the photo’s full resolution, never a scaled preview, and there is no watermark. Keep the original framing or crop to 4:5 or 9:16 right on the export screen. Photo details and location are off unless you switch them on. Save to Photos writes a HEIC file; Share photo sends a JPEG.

Proof: your original photo is never modified; Sfuma keeps its own copy of the edit and writes a new file on export.

How editing works

Send feedback from the editor

Open the ⋯ menu while editing and choose Send feedback. Say what you were trying to do, whether it went well, and what you saw. The screen lists exactly what will be sent and nothing goes until you press Send. My reports in Settings shows the state of each report and the build its fix landed in, and asks you whether the fix worked.

Proof: location data and the camera serial number are removed from photos before they leave the phone; names you gave faces never leave it. Privacy policy.
