Boilerplate

50 words

Sfuma is a free iPhone photo and selfie editor that keeps your skin tone true. Smoothing, blemish heal, under-eye, teeth, eyes, slimming and 50 looks, all on the device. No watermark, no account, no tracking. Made by NameVerse, Inc., launching first in Turkey.

100 words

Sfuma is a free iPhone editor for portraits and selfies built on one rule: an edit should still look like you. Its smoothing works on texture only, and a test on real portraits from roughly Fitzpatrick II to VI checks that skin color and brightness do not move. Every tool runs on the phone using Apple’s own frameworks, so there is no account, no analytics and nothing to upload; the app shows its own network log to prove it. Exports are full resolution with no watermark. The unlock removes ads, lets you share your looks as short codes and adds 28 looks. Sfuma is made by NameVerse, Inc.

Sfuma is a free photo and selfie editor for iPhone made by NameVerse, Inc. It launches first in Turkey and is available in Turkish and English.

Most beauty editors sell the same on-device math behind a subscription, stamp a watermark on the free export and ship an advertising stack that tracks the user. Sfuma gives the core away clean: smoothing, even tone, blemish heal, under-eye, eye brighten, teeth whitening, face and body slimming, 50 looks, light and color adjustments, crop and a camera. Exports are full resolution with no watermark. The unlock adds three things: no ads, sharing your own looks as codes, and 28 more looks.

The headline feature is tone-true retouching. Smoothing is separated from color before anything happens, and a test in the app’s own suite measures color balance and brightness on real portraits across roughly Fitzpatrick II–VI and fails if either moves past its limit.

Privacy is a construction fact, not a policy. There is no account, no analytics SDK and no ad identifier. Every tool runs on the phone through Apple Vision, Core Image and Metal. Settings → Network activity lists every connection the app’s own code has made; on a fresh install it says “No network activity — as promised.” The one upload is a feedback report the user chooses to send, and the app lists its contents first.

Looks are shared as codes such as SF-2400-CCW0. A code carries settings, never a photo, and applies proportionally to a different face.

Five claims and their proof

No watermark, actually free

Export from the free app and inspect the file. Full resolution, no stamp.

Photos never leave the phone

Settings → Network activity in the app lists every connection with its purpose. In the current build only sfuma.cam can appear, and only after the user sends feedback; App Store traffic runs inside iOS and is not listed.

Smooths skin without changing its color

Tone-lock test: at Soften 100 and Even tone 80, red–green and green–blue balance shift under 0.012 and brightness shift under 0.02 of full range, on all six portraits in the test set (roughly Fitzpatrick II–VI). Details at sfuma.cam/tone.

Group photos, one face at a time

Open a group photo. The face chips on the photo name each person, each keeps their own edits, and Undo returns to the face each change was made on.

Small download

No bundled ML models; the app uses the ones on the device. Size on the App Store listing.

Founder note

I built Sfuma because every editor I tried made my friends look like other people, charged for the privilege, and watched them while doing it. The math behind a good retouch has been free for years. It runs on the phone. So Sfuma gives that away, keeps the color of your skin where it was, and shows you its own network log so you don’t have to trust me. If it earns a place in your pocket, the unlock pays for the next one.
